A must in Rotorua!!

My husband and I were told by several people that a Māori experience is a must when in Rotorua. We had a great time learning about the culture, food was fantastic and the guides were lovely.
An unforgettable 3 hours

Had a wonderful time with the Mitai Village (Teora people I think?). We participated in a welcoming ceremony, hāngi feast, haka, war Kanu ceremony, song and dance, and a guided night tour with glow worms and the tribes sacred spring all under 3 hours. We were sat with other travelers and got the chance to wine, dine, and commiserate with all of them. Overall, a very memorable and captivating existence.
Brilliant experience.

The warmth and generosity of the welcome, the pride, power, skill and humour of all the performers, the opportunity to learn more about Maori culture and the ancestral connection of the iwi to this very special location, and the delicious hangi!
