Lulie was absolutely an amazing guide! This tour was so wonderful! I highly recommend taking this tour and then the Harlem Church tour. Both were great and played well hand in hand.
This tour is New York as we want to know it!

Ludie is a dream guide. Full of power, energy, and passion. She tells the local story of slavery, racism, and heroism in a way that cannot leave you indifferent. The emotional involvement, theatre ability, and her audience's perception are so high that we could see the city story resurrected through her eyes.
Informative walking tour.

I can't begin to tell you how absolutely wonderful the tour was. I was disappointed that NY city and torn down or destroyed much of the evidence of the existence of its participation in slave trade and slavery all together. However, the vass amount of information that was told about the times from the untold story about the purchase of NY island to the burial ground found while digging the foundation for a new skyscraper 5 years ago. I love the monuments designed and built in recognition of NYs participation in slavery and the apology displayed on the site. As a person of color there is never enough done to make up for the horrifying slavery atrocity, what was done did feel genuine. Love the tour guide too on 10-29-22 @1:00pm. She was very heartfelt and knowledgeable about the information she was imparting to the tourists.. She was absolutely fabulous... 10,10,10,10 overall score 10!!!
