You can listen to exciting Gospel music during an authentic function in a Baptist Church in Harlem! The tour will then continue, accompanied by the expertise of our certified guides, with a visit to the main points of interest in the neighborhood, such as 125th Street and the Apollo Theater, City College of New York, Sylvan Terrace, Morris-Jumel Mansion, Columbia University. Stops and itinerary may vary based on traffic.

What To Expect

Harlem

The Harlem & Gospel tour in Italian departs every Sunday (except Easter day) from our office a stone's throw from Times Square. The tour begins by heading north and once you arrive in the Harlem neighborhood you will witness, in a Baptist Church, an authentic function with Gospel songs. Please note that respectful clothing is required, therefore flip flops, shorts, tank tops are prohibited; in addition, photos and / or audio and video recordings are not allowed in church. It is not possible to leave the church until the end of the Gospel songs, a member of the Congregation will indicate when it will be possible to go out. The tour will continue with a visit to Harlem and its main places of interest, such as 125th Street and the Apollo Theater, City College of New York, Sylvan Terrace, Morris-Jumel Mansion, Columbia University. The tour will end in Midotwn at the Volatour office.
