Mr. Shoemaker was awesome! He actually made you feel and understand the Harlem/NYC experience. He narrated every scene in History from the original indigenous people to colonization, slavery, reconstruction, great migration, civil right, importance of divine 9 presence in the black community and lastly he interacted with the folks in the community that really made in impactful! I could write more but I will end by saying my wife and I have traveled all over the USA and many parts of the world this has been the best tour we’ve been apart of. We left this tour inspired and ready to motivate others! This is a MUST see and do!

Incredible tour! Neil was an excellent tour guide full of energy. As a native of Harlem his knowledge and passion came through. He was very personable and pushed you to imagine yourself living in those times. He shared history from the 1800's to modern day. He also brought us to a local business and introduced us to other Harlem residents. Highly recommend this tour!

Still waiting for My REFUND!!!!

After navigating my way to the Schomburg Research center for the tour departure meeting location I was called and told that the tour guide was injured and would not be able to make it. The person calling said that he was at the Apollo and would either reschedule my tour or refund me the money I opted for the refund because my trip was ending the next day. I have yet to receive a refund and the phone number voice mail is always full. I don’t know how to get my money back!!!!!!
