Kevin did an amazing job taking us on a combination Gilded Age and Met tour. He is so knowledgeable and we learned a ton about the area and the history of New York. Highly Recommended! We will be coming back for another tour when we return to the city.

Our guide Dan was amazing. He not only took us to the historic sites, he also explained the history of each building and the architectural decisions made. Dan is great at describing the impacts of politics, geography and changes in technology on the people and homes we were seeing. A tremendous job for lovers of history who want to understand, not just see.
Walking the historic homes along the park

This was a wonderful addition to our knowledge of the "emperors" and tycoons, iconic historical names, who built the magnificent mansions of New York City, which many became museums.. Out guide/teacher was excellent. He was not just tremendously informed but moved his guiding to address the things we knew or thought we knew. LOL. He was thoughtful of our walking conditions and the whole experience great.
Go on a warm day

First of all it was an outside tour and freezing cold 35 degrees. We were hoping the tour would cancel since we were inside the 24 hr cancellation policy.
Dan, our tour guide pointed out several buildings that were historic homes snd clubs. Thats about it for the mile walk from The Plaza to the Met. Would be better if there were some “inside” stories. Also pictures of homes and NYC during the Gilded Age would have been nice. Didn’t mention the Rockefeller’s, wonder where they lived.
