A popular place for newly arrived immigrants to New York going back to the 1840's, the Lower East Side has seen large immigrant populations from Germany, Italy, Eastern Europe, the Caribbean and Asia. Join us for a walk through history as you learn why immigrants gathered in this area and why they left. Sample food from famous eateries in the area and see landmarks that tell the story of this unique neighborhood. This tour is perfect for food and history lovers of all ages!

A great tour with lot of amazing and/or unique stops to taste sweet and savoury food. Liz, our guide, was fantastic : fun and knowledgeabl; She truly gave us informations for all the duration of the tour and answered our (many) questions. It was a real treat to have her for ourselves :-)

Our Tastes of Lower Eastside was amazing. Visited so many places we would normally just walk right on by, and tasted amazing food. Liz our tour guide was so informative and patient while we purchased our treats. We would highly recommend doing this tour and get a real taste of what New York was like back in the last century.

A Great Food and Walking Experience

A great tour with fantastic tales and brilliant and unusual food. Another great way to see a different side to New York, off the beaten track yet still enough to keep your interest. Great food tour with a very informative guide Claire. We are mainly fans of savoury food but the Cronuts and Cruffins were exceptional. A New York must!!
